This is Dutailier's model 11380, an arrowback cushionless glider with an arched blanket rail crown for a "Cape Cod" look. It is a chair that almost everybody finds extremely comfortable (even without cushions). In style and function it represents a great melding of the contemporary and the traditional. It is made of maple and comes in various finishes. Of course the ottoman (11381) glides too. These are great pieces for long distance gift-giving via FedEx.
